FIN COMMANDER is a brand built out of passion for the outdoors just like its predecessors Duck and Buck Commander. The brand itself was formally introduced in 2015, but our roots go much deeper. When hunting season ends, we turn our minds toward something new to fill our time and freezers. We head to the water.

In 1997, Mark and Paula Ridl started Production, Tooling, & Automation, Inc. in Hoopeston, Illinois. At the time, it was a thriving business doing work for the automotive industry. An avid fisherman, Mark made frequent trips to Kentucky Lake and began accessorizing his boat with mounts of his own design. Soon, friends started asking if he could make mounts for them. One thing led to another, and while looking out over an Illinois cornfield, the name “Cornfield Crappie Gear” was born.
As technology changes, Cornfield Fishing Gear has stayed at the forefront of producing the finest mounting systems available. All of their products are made in the USA of CNC machined aluminum with stainless steel hardware, anodized and powder paint coatings, and are unmatched in fit and finish.

The Sore Lip Em’ All Guide Service started with our parent company, Leland’s Lures, in 1997. Jeff Smith, Leland’s Lures owner, started with one lure, the Trout Magnet. With the growth and popularity of the Trout Magnet, requests are received from all over the world to fish the Trout Magnet on its home waters – the Little Red River. As the business was blessed with growth and popularity, Sore Lip’Em All Guide Service was created to provide guided trout fishing trips using the Trout Magnet. With the addition of head guide Lowell Myers and David Taylor, Sore Lip’Em All Guide Service now combines the experience and knowledge of spin fishing the Trout Magnet and D2 Jigs as well as fly fishing to create the best-of-its-kind guide service on the Little Red, White and Norfork Rivers.
