We are excited to show you, and also hear what you think about, the new trout, crappie and panfish lures for 2026 from Leland's Lures, Trout Magnet, Crappie Magnet and Panfish Magnet. We've prided ourself for years in providing the best and proven finesse fishing lures and options for all three species for conventional anglers at affordable prices. And now, we are expanding our line-up to answer the growing demand of our loyal angling community.
As you can imagine, we get a ton of feedback and suggestions on our lures from customers as well as folks who fish for a living like fishing guides, tournament anglers, influencers and more. We take the feedback to heart, and we also study what is going on in fishing, specifically looking for where situations where a good solution does not currently exist. From there we try our best to fill the needs of anglers in these situations with new original offerings.
So this year's 5 new products are based on that feedback and target those situations where ever-increasing fishing pressure is making fish smarter as well as more leery at times. While our lineup of lures are proven and still wildly effective, we want to continue to answer the call from anglers to help them Sore Lip 'Em All. So when anglers find fishing tough, we want to have a solution that makes combatting those ever changing variables a little easier and more effective.
Let's dig into each new product for 2026 and answer the who, what and why about each. For 2026, we are releasing the following products and they will be available on Black Friday November 28, 2025:

TROUT MAGNET MOP DROP KIT
The new Mop Drop Kit takes two proven ideas and melds them together to offer both conventional tackle anglers and fly fishermen a jighead to trailer smaller flies and jigs behind with a more effective presentation. These mop jigs feature a 2X strong No. 10 Mustad Ultra Point hook and an absorbent chenille body tied in a cross between a mop fly and green weenie, two very proven and effective patterns for trout. To that we added a unique dropper eye to easily add some tippet and another jig or fly to it. This new mop jig has caught trout for us on numerous rivers including some out west on freestone fisheries, large tailwater fisheries here in Arkansas and Tennessee, and spring creeks in the midwest alike.
The jig comes in 7 proven colors in a kit along with two white indicators for the ultimate set up to drift multiple jigs or flies naturally for trout of all kinds.
Why We Created It
We are working hard to create products that solve problems that anglers encounter on the water on a regular basis. One of those reoccurring issues was how hard it is to fish really small jigs and flies on conventional tackle. And certain multiple fly rigs on a fly rod are very cumbersome to cast and dropper tags constantly get tangled. So we wanted to make a jig that was tied up in a very effective pattern that could be the lead fly to trailer a much smaller fly. This allows conventional tackle anglers, like those using spinning combos, to cast a smaller jig like a Mini Magnet that perfectly mimics small midges, caddis larvae and other bugs that trout prefer at certain times of the year. Because the Mini Mag is 1/200-ounce, it is next to impossible to fish as anything other than a dropper fly. With the new Mop Drop, you can fish it with confidence and give the trout what they are looking for in a smaller morsel.
As a bonus, we have found you can fish this jig with a smaller fly and present bugs at two different levels in the water column and also offer two completely different sizes and styles to make sure you appeal to all the trout on every drift. And we've found panfish love it just as well on a double jig rig.
For fly fishing comparison, the Mop Drop fishes similar to a weighted nymph with a 3.8 bead on it.
TROUT MAGNET DROP JIGS
The 1/64-ounce Drop Jigs offer anglers a jig head to fish a double jig rig easily for trout, panfish and more. And these heads can also be tied on. So you can tie up your favorite nymph, girdle bug, stone fly, mop or squirmy worm on the head and then drop a smaller fly off of it for the best of all worlds. The unique drop eye on the jighead allows you to fish the rig more streamlined with less tangling, ensuring your flies and jigs are presenting perfectly every time. Put a Trout Magnet on the head, drop a short leader off the bottom and put another Trout Magnet in a different color, a smaller jig like a Mini Mag or another small fly to offer the exact hatch matching profile picky trout prefer.

Why We Created It
We wanted to provide anglers with a solution that allowed them to fish two different jigs on one streamlined setup that was easier to rig and fish. We also are looking to cross some niches like fly fishing and conventional fishing and be able to use our jigs in fly fishing scenarios and fish flies on our spinning combos efficiently. Now anglers have a ton of options with these new jigs.
We have had equally great success with this Drop Jig as the top jig and then tying the new Eye Hole Tungsten Jig as the bottom jig for a double jig rig for deep panfish like bluegills, red ear and crappie. This double jig rig has been lighting them up for us this fall, and we are super excited to fish it this winter for really deep gills and crappie.
EYE HOLE TUNGSTEN JIGHEADS
This is one of our most anticipated products by our pro staff of anglers ever. Everyone who has tested the prototypes fell in love with this jighead. Not only does it offer the exact right hook and added weight for getting down to finicky, deep crappie quicker, it fits a much smaller profile bait allowing you to downsize without have to fight a super light jighead in the wind and deep water.
This is maybe our most technical product to date with so many features built in to one jighead. Starting with an Ultra Point super sharp hook in size 10, the patent pending Eye Hole design for distributing scent, the custom S keeper built to lock your plastics on for lots of fish catches on one bait, and then the balance and swimming motion of the bait make it one of the best jigheads on the market for panfish.
It might possibly be the best jighead ever created for panfish like bluegills and shellcrackers as well. Our pros absolutely crushed the big gills and shellcrackers this spring and summer on the prototypes as well as catching crappie all year on it. It's the perfect size head to hold a panfish plastic. And it sticks bluegills who are notorious for short striking and struggling to get bigger No. 2 to No. 6 hooks you find in most other jigheads on the market.
Why We Created It
Our anglers have been asking for a jighead that got down quick but would fit a much smaller profile plastic like a Trout Magnet or a cut down Crappie Magnet. We looked and the market was really missing that premium jighead that could handle small baits but also offer a 1/16-ounce weight with a small hook to really get the jig down.
And our streamline design was tweaked to get it perfect. In our testing, this jighead could be cast right after other 1/16-ounce jigs on the market with a Trout Magnet, and it would beat the other jigs down to the fish and get bit before the other jig even got close to the brush pile that was holding the fish. We put cameras on them and were pleasantly surprised when we saw them swimming and spiraling down to the fish. We believe these jigheads will become the staple among serious panfish anglers fishing smaller baits for bigger bluegills, crappie and shellcrackers.
EYE HOLE TUNGSTEN POP-EYE JIG
Our Pop-Eye Jigs have been some of the most productive hair jigs on the market for more than 50 years. Their finesse profile was one of the first of their kind in hair jigs for panfish. But they can sometimes be a little tough to fish for deep finicky fish you often find on highland impoundments where the crappie might get down 30 to 40 feet deep. So we wanted to offer a tungsten jighead. Why not add scent to it while we were at it? The new Tungsten Pop-Eye jig offers anglers a better option for fishing for those deep, finicky panfish.
Why We Created It
We have anglers who pressed us for a heavier but still very finesse hair jig that got down fast, with a better hook and the added ability to add scent to it. So the Tungsten Pop-Eye Jig checks all the boxes deeper panfish. We pride ourselves on being some of the originators of finesse fishing for multiple species of fish, and we want to continue to push for better designs around jigs for our customers.
CRAPPIE MAGNET SLAB SAV
The Slab Sav is a new option for scent for anglers offering a more water soluble solution to scent attraction. Fish can't small oil based scents. For a fish to take a scent in, it has to be transmitted through water, or water soluble. So we wanted a scent that dissolved very quickly and left a trail and cloud around the bait when we dropped it on a pile so the fish could hone in on it quickly and bite, much like you get with live bait. The Slab Sav offers multiple colors, a more rapidly dissolved option to really get the scent out into the water to get nearby fish to commit.
Why We Created It
We are believers in scent. We have always sworn by Slab Bites, and it is why we partnered with Eye Hole. We believe there is never a time where scent hurts you, and we have certainly seen numerous times where scent accounted for a lot more catches than those fishing without it. So now we wanted to add a scent that dispersed faster and left a much bigger scent signature in the water. As crappie are getting more pressured, we are finding that having multiple factors attracting them in a small window of time tips the scale in our favor more and more. So we have heads now that get a bait to fish quicker, color contrasting colors for eyes, scent trails in the water and more profiles to choose from so that an angler can lock in on that combination that gets fish biting the best in any situation.
Really demanding anglers wanted a lot of scent in the water when their jig got down to the fish's level. Now with the combination of Slab Sav and Slab Bites you have a fast dispersal system and a slow dispersal system to cover all the bases around scent for panfish.
