  1. Great rod with very light fast action and enough back bone to get great hook sets. Catch rate definitely increased when I purchased this rod.

  2. Fantastic rod, great value of the money.
I went on a guided trip with Mark Crawford on the Spring River in AR. Using the Trout slayer rod with 2# SOS line and a trout magnet, I caught several trout, but most memorable was a 4 lb. largemouth that I fought and landed on the two pound line. This rod cast light lure on light line great and stands up to landing large fish. I plan on buying a couple of the rods for panfishing and trout in TN.

  3. Excellent rod.
Absolutely fantastic rod. Good, fast tip that is super sensitive and allows solid hooksets even at the end of a long cast. Super lightweight. Not only casts and fishes Trout Mangets well but beetlespins, small spoons and any other small lure too.

I actually like this rod more than my Loomis ultralight.

  5. WOW!
Just received my Trout Slayer rod and immediately paired it up with the recommended Shimano Sedona 1000 and all I can say is Wow! Although I have not had a chance to fish the rig yet the living room review is, why has it taken me 40 + years of trout fishing to make such a discovery? Layin my Sage Fly Rod down for a while.

  7. This is the very best rod for $50 as you will ever find.
Recently received my new trout Slayer rod and was very happily impressed by the quality of the packaging as well as the workmanship of the right itself. I would easily and happily compare this rods with rods that cost substantially more. The action is exactly as advertised was a fast tip yet good backbone. The inclusion of the micro guides does seen to improve casting distance and accuracy but as of yet I have not had an opportunity to fish with the rod but it certainly makes me eager to do so. I have paired my ride with a Quantum throttle size 10 which ways 7.1 Oz spooled with Berkley Nanobraid. I am very excited about this rod and feel no desire to purchase other rod costing more. Should you choose to buy one yourself I believe you will not be disappointed. Tight lines.

  9. Great Rod!
Absolutely the best trout rod I have tried. It out-performs my expensive Fenwick rod and is as light as a feather. The guides allow you to cast a mile with a flick of the wrist. Great rod - would recommend without any hesitation.

  10. Fantastic action and quality features. Cheap.
Fantastic rod, I can cast a trout magnet a pretty good distance with 2lb test. It holds up to big fish (4 lb bass) love the handles and guides. This is my favorite rod in my arsenal. It has the perfect amount of flexibility and stiffness for fishing for anything that will bite.
